We're busy over here at Sportscard Playground. We're just beginning Week 3 of 5 of our 2021 PANINI PLAYER OF THE DAY FOOTBALL CONTEST. Our big POKEMON GIVEAWAY (accompanying the release of Pokemon Celebrations) just concluded. And we'll be prepping for our BLACK FRIDAY GIVEAWAY soon! More on all of this in this newsletter.

CONGRATULATIONS to KRISTINE KNIAZIEWICZ, who won ALL 3 JUMBO POKEMON LENTICULAR CARDS...the UMBREON turning into SYLVEON, the URSHIFU's, and the CALYREX's. Also VERY lucky were individual card winners (shocker...they both chose Umbreon/Sylveon)...STEVE FOLTZ and ALEXANDER BAUR. We really enjoyed this giveaway, as well as the Celebrations set (which is selling very well); and we intend to have another Pokemon contest in the near future.

Thanksgiving is soon approaching, and we will definitely be having some fanfare over BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND (which for us is Friday and Saturday, the 26th and 27th). Panini has announced they're not making Black Friday packs this year, but we will definitely have some "CAN'T MISS" GIVEAWAYS & RAFFLES to reward your purchases that weekend. Details will definitely be announced on our social media sites FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM as soon as we have them.

Onto the BIG CONTEST...our 2021 PANINI PLAYER OF THE DAY (POD) FOOTBALL CONTEST! We do this one up BIG every year. We're giving away a total of over $900 in GIFT CERTIFICATES & PRIZES during this year's 5 week long event! I'll explain in the next paragraph how to play/enter. Each week, a lucky winner receives a $50 GIFT CERTIFICATE and GUARANTEED POD JERSEY CARD PACK. The GRAND PRIZE WINNER receives an ever growing list of prizes (we add prizes each week) that presently includes $85 in GIFT CERTIFICATES, a 2020 CHRONICLES FOOTBALL BLASTER, 2020 DONRUSS FOOTBALL BLASTER, 2021 DONRUSS FOOTBALL BLASTER, POD MILES SANDERS AUTOGRAPH /25, and POD BREAKER MAT. The Grand Prize will be awarded on Saturday, November 20th; at which time we will also give away a bunch of prizes to at least 30 people who played throughout the run of the contest. THESE PRIZES include FOUR $35 GIFT CERTIFICATES, a GUARANTEED POD JERSEY CARD PACK, a 2021 DONRUSS BLASTER, 2020 DONRUSS BLASTER, 2020 SCORE FAT PACK, and more prizes TBD. So, if you don't win on the Saturday of the week you play, don't worry! You have MANY other chances on November 20th.

HOW TO PLAY/ENTER. We made it easy this year by making anyone with a $50 Panini Football card purchase an automatic daily winner. That person receives a special 2 card POD pack (while supplies last...we should be fine through at least week 3), and is then entered into the weekly Saturday raffle of all daily winners. The contest lasts 5 weeks; and on November 20th, the 5 weekly winners then compete via raffle for the Grand Prize. So, you have to win a week in order to have a chance at the Grand Prize. ALTERNATELY, if you'd rather make a smaller purchase to try to qualify, you CAN! It only takes ONE pack to be a daily winner...we had it done TWICE this week! Each day, a different NFL player is designated on signage in-store as the "Player of the Day". If you pull that player OR either of the two Wild Cards (Patrick Mahomes or Trevor Lawrence), you WIN! It can be that easy. Each person can enter once per day, but as many days as you'd like. More daily wins means more chances for both Saturday's weekly raffle win AND winning any of the extra packs and prizes we're giving away on the final day. So come on in and try your luck! Then, in the past week, we had a 2021 FIVE STAR TROUT 1/1 LAUNDRY TAG AUTO and a 2021 FIVE STAR 5 AUTO CARD /5 of OHTANI, SOTO, TATIS JR., GUERRERO JR., and ACUNA.
