Hi everyone! It's 2022 PANINI PLAYER OF THE DAY (POD) BASKETBALL time, and we have a GREAT start to our GRAND PRIZE...a GORGEOUS POD TYRESE MAXEY /30 AUTOGRAPH! Like last year's contest, we're going to add prizes to the GRAND PRIZE each week (to keep things interesting and reward player participation), but it's starting out strong. Besides the Maxey auto, there are TWO GUARANTEED POD JERSEY/PATCH CARD PACKS, a POD BREAKER MAT, and a 2020-21 MOSAIC MEGA BOX (the same product that a customer just pulled a Lamelo Ball /10 auto!). HOW TO PLAY/ENTER...it's easy! Starting Monday, April 4th, pull the designated "PLAYER OF THE DAY" (player changes daily during the course of the 5 week, 30 day contest, with the player indicated on signage in-store) OR any of the THREE WILD CARDS (to be explained later) from any Panini pack, and you've earned your daily entry. You'll receive a special 2 card POD pack (while supplies last...we should be fine through at least week 3), and you'll be entered into the weekly Saturday raffle of all daily winners. The Saturday prize is TBD, but will likely include several packs. The 5 weekly winners are the ones who compete for the Grand Prize on MAY 7th, so that's the goal (being one of these 5 people). We'll award a LOT of prizes on that final Grand Prize Give Away day. As long as you were a daily winner during any of the 30 days, you have a chance to win something on May 7th. I'll announce now that we'll award at least THREE $35 GIFT CERTICATES to random daily winners that final Saturday. Like the Grand Prize, these prizes to all participants will increase as the contest progresses, so STAY TUNED for announcements.

EXTRA WAYS TO WIN...To make the daily entry even easier to obtain this year are THREE WILD CARD players you can pull, any of whom will also make you a daily winner. They are...LUKA DONCIC, KEVIN DURANT, and ANTHONY EDWARDS. Added to the regular POD athlete, this makes FOUR possibilities to pull from a pack. Any $50 minimum Panini Basketball card purchase will get you a daily entry as well, so blaster box buyers have a head start (or automatic entry). Btw, our store's Grand Prize Winner will be entered into Panini's National Contest, which is how MATISSE THYBULLE came to visit us a couple years ago (our store's winner Quinn Slack won the National Contest!). This is an exciting contest to be a part of!

In other Hobby news, 2022 BASEBALL has been streaming in with the highly anticipated WANDER FRANCO ROOKIE in everything. Flagship TOPPS followed by HERITAGE then OPENING DAY have arrived, with INCEPTION due this Wednesday. High end 2021 Football is releasing weekly, with 2021 PRIZM arriving April 27th. UPPER DECK has released three 2021-22 products so far...Flagship Upper Deck, MVP, and OPC. Key rookies are TREVOR ZEGRAS and COLE CAUFIELD. 2021-22 BASKETBALL product with CADE CUNNINGHAM/ JALEN GREEN/ EVAN MOBLEY/ SCOTTIE BARNES, etc. is showing up. CHRONICLES DRAFT, HOOPS, DONRUSS, ELITE, and ORIGINS BASKETBALL have arrived so far; with CONTENDERS coming April 13th.
